sometimes it’s hard to even write a sentence.

following up the big announcement from ribv1 > ribv2, it felt like moving mountains to try and go even bigger next newsletter. i had to refresh my memory on how i write:

there it was: just had to start and take things one step at a time.

it reminded me of when i first started ribv2. i told myself things were gonna be different this time. i wasn’t gonna try to do everything at once. i really wanted the core to be great then build off that. future opportunities showed me what to focus on

the things we do now i wouldn’t have been able to do successfully first starting out. i needed more reps on what works and what doesn’t. on having difficult conversations. on scouting in a thoughtful way to intentionally gatekeep the community

with more experience, comes the realization that the process is the reward. that’s how momentum builds. good process leads to good things

so if you’re reading this and have a new year’s resolution, just put on your favorite song and take the first step that brings less anxiety / more clarity to your future self. and if you have a false start? don’t beat yourself up. can’t be you vs. you
